Principal's Message

Hello Spartans:

I hope you had a fantastic week!

8th Grade Information Night

I was so thrilled to see so many families who attended the 8th Grade Information Night. We had so many staff members and students assisting last night, so I would not be able to name them all. I do want to acknowledge our students who led tours and provided tech support throughout the event.

Mountain View High School is a special place, particularly because of our incredible students. And I look forward to working with our incoming class of 2030!

Class of 2026 Assembly

Today, we hosted our annual assembly for our graduating class of 2026. Given that I started as their principal four years ago, this graduating class has been a special group to me!

As is with our practice, Dr. Morelli will send information to our seniors regularly, beginning next week, and here is the presentation that they saw today that is posted on our website on the “Graduation and Senior Class of 2026” page.  I want to thank our Foothill partners for their participation.

Speaking of Seniors, here is the Grad Night Information. The details will also be included in the General Information section below. They are in need of your support, and the Grad Night committee will appreciate you participating in their upcoming fundraiser.

Advisory Week Wrap-Up

I want to thank our teachers who helped our Spartans make good choices next school year by hosting the Advisory Week. As I shared with the parents during 8th Grade Information Night, I strongly encourage our parents to support our students by allowing them to enjoy their time here at Mountain View without excessively accelerating.

As much as we work hard to prepare our students for what comes next, we really want to see our students enjoy each other’s company and develop strong friendships here that will carry them through.

Culture Week

Finally, we invite our students to celebrate the Culture Week, hosted by our ASB with the rally on Monday. I want to thank Marie Clarke and our wonderful ASB leaders for their hard work on this.

Thank you,

Kip Glazer, Ed.D.

Principal

General Information

Grad Night Request!

Dear Mountain View High School Parents,

Help is needed from all grades for Grad Night! It takes a village to make our Senior Grad Night celebration a success for graduates. We need support from everyone! Here are four ways non-senior parents as well as senior parents can get involved.

MAKE A DIRECT DONATION

Grad Night costs are higher than usual this year due to a Friday night graduation and a much smaller class size, leading to less ticket revenue. Please consider making a GRAD NIGHT 2026 DIRECT DONATION to help offset costs and support fee waivers for students in need.

CONTRIBUTE TO THE GIVEAWAYS

Exciting prizes will be given to randomly selected graduates during the 2026 Senior Grad Night. Help make this a success by visiting our AMAZON WISH LIST to purchase a prize. At checkout, select the following delivery address: MVHS 2026 Grad Night, Los Altos, CA, Gift Registry Address. If you have other items to donate, please let us know.

DINE OUT JAN 29 AT PIZZA MY HEART 4 PM - 9 PM (CODE: MG129)

Bring home dinner for the family and support Grad Night at the same time. It’s a WIN-WIN! Pizza My Heart will donate 30% of your purchase to Grad Night. The code MG129 is good for dine-in, take out, and delivery* direct from their website at the Mt. View location - 1037 El Monte. (650) 938-4200. www.pizzamyheart.com *Does not include Door Dash or other 3rd party order apps.

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME

Grad Night’s success depends on YOUR HELP! There are many opportunities for non-senior parents - especially right after the graduation ceremony while senior parents are with their graduates. Grab a friend and join us in helping our Seniors have a fabulous night after graduation.  VOLUNTEER sign up sheet

Thank you for helping us create a memorable night for our seniors!
